"In the occult world, black is a good color. It is the shade of the cool spirit. Green, on the other hand, is evil. It is the color of purification, of rot. A green aura with white radiating around the edges like we just saw indicates evil power. But it is power of human origin. If the green had been tinged with scarlet, that would have meant that the Hungan was supernatural." |

"The trick will be getting close enough to use your powers to defeat his. But with the kind of magic he wields that will not be easy. He will be able to see you coming and you will not see him. We know he has werewolves to assist him; other more unpleasant things too, most likely. |

"The one thing that puzzles me most is why he has waited this long to strike." Paula stared at Kyna for several seconds, her eyes taking on a freakish red glow. "What is it he's after?" |

Kyna shrugged. "How the hell am I supposed to know? This whole thing started when my boss sent me on this trip." |
